RASWatch protects you from dialing expensive phone numbers without your knowledge. RASWatch does, what you don't: It monitors your phonebook entries for changes of important parameters: area code, local phone number, username and password. RASWatch alerts you of new phonebook entries or changes of existing entries. You can startup RASWatch with your system (user-independent) and setup a monitoring interval. RASWatch resides in the system tray and uses minimal resources. You won't even notice that RASWatch is running until it's time to alert you and save you money! RASWatch
is in charge of a extensive program help that explains virtually every
aspect of the program, contains an introduction, a how-to section, a
FAQ and many more. Features and Screenshots
Limitations RASWatch
does not currently support sub-entries (v1.00b) (sub-entries are alternate
phone numbers which will be automatically dialed if connecting to the
primary phone number fails. Sub-entries were implemented from Win2000
and do not work with Win9x/ME). RASWatch does not monitor (for) active connections nor check for connections which are not established by the use of phonebook entries. Use a firewall and don't let any application startup the internet connection to protect yourself.
Revision History
RASWatch has been tested on Win95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP and a minimum of 266 MHz Pentium CPU and 128MB RAM. You need the MFC version 4.2 (Microsoft Foundation Classes) installed to your computer. (Nowadays, the MFC v4.2 is already installed on most Windows systems; you can check your system by searching for MFC42.DLL and MSVCRT.DLL in your Windows system directory.) Download the actual public release of RASWatch from this page. RASWatch is FREEWARE. Nobody may demand money for it.
Installation Notes The installation of RASWatch is fairly easy, so don't be anxious to try it on your own. Just follow the step-by-step instructions:
You can setup the monitoring and/or quickscan feature of RASWatch in its options dialog. |
